Vi
Vi Reichel (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist working with film, expanded cinema, new media and performance art. Her work explores long-term natural change, ecological narratives and multilayered information blurring the boundaries between art, technology and geography. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Galeria -m (Poland), Emerging Exits | Diogenes Bunker (The Netherlands), SIM Residency (Iceland) and Melting Points (London).
After completing her Bachelor in Geography at the University of Leipzig, she studied Moving Image and Design, Art & Technology at ArtEZ University of the Arts. She fuses her scientific fascination with artistic research through a transdisciplinary lens that blends her multidisciplinary perception.
In her practice, she always develops a personal approach to relate to the unknown, more-than-human world, and ongoing processes across time and space. It is the little things that fascinate her and which she explores with care.
